What is a Virtual Reunion?
Much of the allure of being a Scottish Rite Mason is the unique Brotherhood that ignites when we gather in fraternity and friendship. These fraternal bonds have been sorely missed in this time of great uncertainty. Through a Virtual Reunion we will not only come together with Brothers from our state, but from throughout our 15-state jurisdiction. We will join together to engage with the teachings of our craft, reflect on our values, and learn from each other.
In short, a Virtual Reunion is a way for new members to enter our great Brotherhood, and for current members to "meet" in a safe and convenient way. It is a time to welcome new Brothers, and reconnect with friends old and new.
The Virtual Reunions will go beyond simply broadcasting degrees providing a full Scottish Rite experience. In addition to the degree presentations, you will meet Scottish Rite leaders, learn about Scottish Rite programs, and you will have the chance to interact live with other candidates and long-time members.
How does the Virtual Reunion experience compare to in-person Valley Reunions?
While we won't be able to connect in person, Virtual Reunions will be an opportunity to enjoy degrees together, learn something new, and experience rich engagement with Brothers from across our 15-state jurisdiction.
The Virtual Reunions will create a shared moment in time that unites our fraternity as we explore the highest principles, teachings, and ideals of the Masonic Craft.
Who can attend a Virtual Reunion?
You must be a Master Mason who has applied for membership to the Scottish Rite, and your application has been accepted by your Valley Secretary. If your application has been approved your status is now "candidate." All candidates may take part in the Virtual Reunion. All current members of the Scottish Rite may register to attend.
Can I attend more than one Virtual Reunion?
Absolutely, and you are encouraged and welcome to do so. For candidates, each Virtual Reunion will present the required number of degrees (the 4° and at least three additional degrees) to make you eligible for the 32°.
Current members are also welcome to attend one or all of the Virtual Reunions. Passport credit will be given for the degrees presented.
